Fall Fashion Primer was originally recorded in the summer and fall of 2020 in Madison Wisconsin. It is a record that is comprised of sampled and looped instruments layered to create hypnotic effects on the listener. Perkins was working in sound and multimedia installation at that point and used the logic of a gallery exhibition format to inform the recording technique and mixing process. The beta version of Sony Vegas Pro 1999 was used for all recording and mixing of the record. The LP was mastered and finally released in October, 2023.
